Help protect your vacation investment from the unexpected with Southwest Vacations’ Travel Protection. Southwest Vacations® offers this option to help provide some peace of mind in knowing your vacation investment is protected from the moment you book, until you return home.
Pre-Travel Penalty Waiver**
Provided by Southwest Vacations (non-insurance features)
Cancel for any reason and receive a refund to the original form of payment for the full package price less the cost of flights and the travel protection plan cost. Flights are non-refundable and will be issued in the form of an airline credit valid for future travel for up to one year from original time of purchase.
No supplier penalties or fees:
- If you change or cancel your vacation prior to departure, all supplier penalties and fees for hotels, rental cars and/or activities will be waived under the Penalty Waiver.
- If you change your vacation and choose to apply your Penalty Waiver to waive any supplier penalties or fees, the product is considered used. You will be required to repurchase travel protection in order to help protect your vacation from that point forward. If you choose to decline repurchasing Southwest Vacations’ Travel Protection after a supplier fee is waived, you will be subject to any subsequent fees or further revisions or cancellation and will no longer have any of the benefits previously offered with Southwest Vacations’ Travel Protection.
Hurricane travel credit
- If a hurricane affects your city of origin or destination prior to your departure, receive a refund* for your unused hotel, rental car and/or activities. The cost of flights will be issued as an airline credit for future travel.
*Terms and Conditions – receive a refund to the original form of payment for the full package price less the cost of flights and the Southwest Vacations’ Travel Protection plan cost. Flights are non-refundable and will be issued in the form of an airline credit valid for future travel for up to one year from the original time of purchase.
